The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Methane Waste Rule was created to implement stricter regulation on the leaking, venting and flaring of methane from oil and gas wells on public and tribal lands - a common sense move that would reduce pollution and save taxpayers money. Western mountain communities deserve clean air to breathe and our fair share of royalties from captured methane.
In April 2018, twenty one local elected sent a letter to the Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke and top officials with the BLM urging them to not eliminate the Methane Rule.
